Since 2010 I have published poetry in a range of magazines and journals, including Magma, Poetry Wales, The Rialto, The Stinging Fly and The White Review. My poems have been anthologised by major UK publishers including Viking, Bloodaxe, Salt and Eyewear. I have published two highly regarded pamphlets of poetry and a broadside, all with small independent presses.

Oedipa received positive reviews in Art Monthly, Manchester Review of Books, New Welsh Review, Poetry London, Poetry Wales, Review 31 and The Tupelo Quarterly.
Reviewer Vicky MacKenzie described Oedipa as “Deeply moving, fresh and extremely engaging.” (New Welsh Review, 2018). David Collard wrote: “Ferociously good, brilliantly original […] This is poetry with range, depth, drive and ambition” (Review 31, 2018). Kate Potts described Oedipa as “a risky, ambitious, hybrid piece of work.” (Poetry London, 2018).
In 2012 I was awarded a scholarship to support my PhD research in Creative Writing. My doctorate was completed in 2017.
I have delivered successful creative writing workshops for a range of organisations, including Aberystwyth University, Edge Hill University, The Northern Lights Writers’ Conference, Nottingham Trent University, The National Creative Writing Graduate Fair, Waterside Arts Centre and Wordpool Festival.
I am currently working with artist Nicky Arscott on a collaborative poetry comic called The Ballad of Malady Nelson.
